Course Aims
The semiconductor industry is currently in the spotlight due to a global surge in demand for chips, driven by the increasing need for consumer electronics, the acceleration of digitalization trends, and the introduction of new technologies like 5G. As a major global semiconductor hub, Singapore is well-positioned to continue its growth, contributing nearly 12% to the global semiconductor market. Significant investments have been pouring into Singapore, with expectations for continued growth, particularly in the IC Design sector. To address the growing demand for IC designers both locally and globally, the SSIA Board, in collaboration with industry leaders and the EDB, established an IC Design Committee. This committee aims to attract more talent into the IC design field.
Our Goal
To give participating undergraduates the chance to connect with industry leaders from various companies and to provide first-hand experiences into the dedication, intensity, and passion that drive the semiconductor industry.

Who is this Course for?
Designed for Year 2 and Year 3 undergraduates (AY2024/2025) studying Electrical, Electronics, Computing, or Design Engineering.
