Alvin Tan

Mr. Alvin Tan was elected as a Member of Parliament in July 2020 and appointed Minister of State for the Ministry of Community, Culture and Youth, and the Ministry of Trade & Industry on 1 Sep 2020. In the spirit of SG Together, Mr. Tan emphasizes the government’s support for businesses to digitally transform. Initiatives like Grow Digital, part of ESG’s and IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital programme, help businesses reach global audiences through e-commerce platforms. He encourages more businesses to leverage such initiatives for transformation, believing that technology can transform firms and catalyse true sector transformation.
