Foreword

While the pandemic has driven a surge in demand for electronics in the past two years and our industry rose to the challenge to mitigate the demand by managing the complex supply chain, there have been far-reaching global headwinds that have come up that has impacted us.

In the last few months, we have heard about the ramifications of the US Chip Act as companies race to find alternative ways to navigate the waters by relooking at their supply chains. The economy is also softening with the growing inflationary pressures. All these factors have put the sector on a very cautionary outlook in terms of output.

To address these challenges, SSIA launched different initiatives to stay relevant to the needs of companies. SSIA hosted and co-ran over 60 events and activities, either virtually or on-site, reaching out to over 4,000 participants in 2022. We are thankful for the support from companies and our working partners. You have been instrumental in SSIA’s transformation journey.

In 2023, SSIA will continue to address the industry’s challenges with our flagship events and new initiatives — Semiconductor Women’s Forum, Singapore Business Connect, SSIA Summit and Semiconductor Dinner. We aim to reach out to the entire workforce and also students to build a robust talent pipeline.

I hope your company can support our initiatives in 2023 to collaborate with us to bring the necessary values to your business. Please do contact us if you would like to further discuss the details. We are also open to discussing customization of specific events with companies to align objectives.

Thank you and looking forward to your strong support.
