Dr. Carlos Mazure, Chairman and Executive Director of SOI Industry Consortium

Dr. Carlos Mazure is also the EVP, Advisor to the CEO, at Soitec since April 2019 and EVP & CTO, Head of Corporate R&D at Soitec since January 2001-March 2019.

IEEE Fellow, 34 years of experience in Semiconductor Industry. Carlos is recognized internationally as an industry influencer and opinion leader.

As Chairman and Executive Director of the SOI Industry Consortium, he helps expand the market opportunities for the SOI industry through promotion of SOI platforms in the semiconductor ecosystem.

Prior to Soitec, Carlos headed the ferroelectric FeRAM program at Infineon (Munich, Germany), and initiated Infineon/Toshiba FeRAM Alliance. Earlier he worked for IBM/Infineon DRAM Alliance (Fishkill, NY); and before at APRDL, Motorola (Austin, Texas) on BiCMOS ultra fast SRAMs.

Carlos holds two doctorates (University Grenoble, France; Technical University Munich, Germany).  Authored/co-authored 120+ technical papers, holds 100+ US patents.

Gobinath Tamil Vanan, Field Marketing Manager of Semiconductor Industry National Instruments ASEAN & ANZ

As a Field Marketing Manager in National Instruments specializing in Semiconductor Industry, Gobinath focuses on technology, marketing and content development initiatives related to semiconductor validation & production test across ASEAN, Australia & New Zealand. Working very closely with the Product Marketing Group, NI engineers, as well as customers throughout ASEAN and ANZ, Gobinath makes sure that all relevant customer needs in the industry are brought out well and early to enable not just the customers to be successful, but also to solve the grand cost challenges of the Semiconductor testing companies. He regularly works with customers and partners, developing content to enable technical consultants, and has presented at a variety of industry events including the NIDays Graphical System Design Conferences, Semiconductor Industry VIP Roundtables, as well as other major semiconductor thought leadership councils. Gobinath graduated from Swinburne University of Technology with a Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Glenn Vandevoorde, Chief Executive Officer of arQana Technologies

 

Glenn Vandevoorde serves as the Chief Executive Officer of arQana Technologies, a fabless semiconductor company in Singapore that develops RF solutions for mmwave radar, satellite communications and telco infrastructure. He also acts as the Chief Innovation Officer of the Synesys Group of companies, the holding entity of arQana Technologies.

Glenn has 20 years experience in bringing high technology companies from concept to early revenues. Before joining arQana, Glenn was the A/Prof at the National University Singapore as the Head of its Enterprise Development Lab. Prior to this, Glenn held the position of CEO at Future Waves Taiwan, a fabless RFCMOS design house for digital tuners and was the CEO of KOTO Enterprises Vietnam, a social enterprise providing holistic training to disadvantaged youth. Glenn holds a Masters in Microelectronics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven MICAS, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Neelesh Maglani, Strategic Pursuits Lead & Chief Technologist of HP Enterprises

Neelesh Maglani has more than 18 years of Enterprise and Telco Solutions designing, architecture and delivery experience in Asia Pacific & Japan region with result oriented and hands on contribution in areas of new product innovation, solution business development, presales and delivery.

Neelesh has worked extensively in areas of Enterprise IoT Technologies, CSP’s core network and VAS platforms like Charging with Legacy IN, IMS LTE network, Subscriber Data Consolidation, Voice and Video Value added services, Big Data Analytics, Digital Transformation Consulting enabling convergence of Telco’s IT and Network domains.

Currently responsible for managing Telco Segment infrastructure and NFV Solutions growth in APJ region as Strategic Pursuits Leader and part of WW Telco Business. Prior to this Neelesh has worked on HPE’s growth initiatives around Internet of Things (IoT), Global Connectivity Solutions (M2M) with Solutions leader role in APeJ based out of Singapore and handling solution design, architecture, GTM for IoT Applications enablement, Solutions for smart city initiatives around Home, Utilities and automotive industry verticals with our direct and indirect customers and positioning HPE’s end to end IoT ecosystem.

Joined Hewlett Packard in July 2007, as Solution Delivery Lead for OpenCall Software, WW alliances group and subsequently promoted to lead various products and portfolio domains as part of HPE Software and Services Business Unit, served various Telco customers across India, South East Asia and Middle East.

Pankaj Gulati, Head of International Growth of Starry Inc.

 

Mr. Pankaj Gulati is the head of international business at Starry. In this role, he works with spectrum regulators and local partners to create successful business operations to bring Starry’s unique fixed wireless broadband and enable “Happy Interneting” for all. Prior to this role, Mr. Gulati was the COO at Starry and was instrumental in launching Starry’s first market in Boston.

Mr. Gulati has a strong entrepreneurial leadership background as the CEO of MoreMagic, a mobile payments company, where in his 10 years at the helm, MoreMagic achieved market leadership. Mr. Gulati led its successful sale to Oberthur technologies in 2012 and subsequently it’s smooth integration and full realization of the growth potential. MoreMagic became a key provider of cloud-based Mobile Payment and Banking solution at mobile network operators, banks and large retailers in over 40 countries worldwide.

Mr. Gulati started his career in the US with AT&T Bell Labs and was involved in the early deployments of Mobile Networks, Network Management and Intelligent Networks, globally. He as a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri and has completed his executive management from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Gulati is based at the Starry headquarters in Boston.
