Highlights from SSIA Summit and Semiconductor Dinner 2024

Held on 18 September, the SSIA Summit & Semiconductor Dinner 2024 brought together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to shape the future of Singapore’s semiconductor sector.

SSIA Summit featured high-impact discussions on emerging technologies, supply chain resilience, sustainability, and talent development, reinforcing Singapore’s position as a global semiconductor hub.

Semiconductor Dinner—the largest to date—marked a significant milestone with the launch of the Workforce Transformation Awards (WTA), presented by Workforce Singapore (WSG) to honor outstanding contributions to workforce development. Guest of Honour Mr. Desmond Tan, alongside Ms. Dilys Boey, Chief Executive of WSG, celebrated the awardees’ efforts in driving upskilling and reskilling within the sector. As the industry continues to evolve with digitalization and Industry 4.0, initiatives like WSG’s Career Conversion Programme (CCP), developed in collaboration with SSIA, play a crucial role in preparing Singapore’s workforce for the future. The evening also featured the Charity Art Auction by Shaping Hearts, an initiative of NECDC, adding a meaningful philanthropic dimension to the celebration.
