Assistant Executive Secretary, UWEEI

Chong Jia Yi is the Assistant Executive Secretary of the United Workers of Electronics & Electrical Industries (UWEEI), where she provides strategic leadership in advancing industrial relations, workforce transformation, and worker representation across Singapore’s electronics and electrical industries. 

She partners closely with employers, industry leaders, and tripartite stakeholders to drive forward-looking workforce strategies that strengthen business resilience while enabling workforce adaptability. Her work spans key areas such as skills transformation and the implementation of progressive workplace practices, ensuring alignment between enterprise transformation and sustainable workforce outcomes. 

Concurrently, Jia Yi serves as Deputy Director of the NTUC Youth Division, where she contributes to shaping the Labour Movement’s future leadership pipeline. She leads efforts to engage and develop young professionals and union leaders, strengthening organisational renewal and ensuring continued relevance in a rapidly evolving economic landscape. 

With a strong focus on strategic impact, Jia Yi is committed to bridging business and workforce priorities, driving inclusive growth, strengthening labour-management partnerships and positioning Singapore’s workforce for long-term competitiveness.
