Dr. Sharon Nai is a Senior Principal Scientist at the A*STAR Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (A*STAR SIMTech) and Director of the Additive Innovation Centre (AIC) at A*STAR, a key translational hub supported by the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC). She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
She has a strong track record of partnering with semiconductor companies to develop and industrialise additive manufacturing solutions for tooling and high-value components in complex machinery. Dr. Nai has led numerous large-scale collaborative R&D programmes with local and global industry partners, translating frontier research into industry-ready platforms and joint laboratories that have accelerated the adoption of additive manufacturing across other high-value manufacturing sectors. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, filed two patents, received multiple prestigious awards, and has been consistently ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists since 2022.
