Head, Semicon Equipment and Factory Solutions Pillar, Tech-Biz Development at A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre

Tan Chee Tat is the Senior Director of Tech-Biz Development and Head of the Semicon Equipment and Factory Solutions Pillar at ARTC. He leads strategic and business development efforts, industry collaborations and partnerships, and ecosystem engagements that advance semiconductor industry manufacturing competitiveness.

Within A*STAR, Chee Tat previously served as Director of the Precision Engineering Centre of Innovation (PE COI) and Director of the Industry Development Office at SIMTech. In these roles, he supported national level manufacturing initiatives, strengthened enterprise capabilities, and established industry collaboration frameworks.

Before joining A*STAR, he held leadership roles in leading Japanese and German multinational corporations, Olympus and Wincor Nixdorf. As Project Manager and later Head of the Project Management Office, he led cross-functional global teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects across international R&D and manufacturing sites. His portfolio included major initiatives such as RoHS compliance conversion, production localization, cost reduction programmes, and the deployment of value solutions tailored to Southeast Asia’s market needs.

Chee Tat brings deep experience at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and industry development, with a strong track record in forging strategic partnerships and translating innovation into real world industry impact.
