
Cher Whee Sim is the Vice President of People Strategy, Technology and Workforce Transformation at Micron Technology where she leads the shift to an AI-native workforce – reimagining how work gets done at scale in the age of AI. With over two decades of global HR and transformation experience, Cher Whee has been at the forefront of driving large‑scale organizational change across Asia and beyond. Today, she brings together People Strategy, digital HR, and workforce AI transformation to redesign workflows, reshape roles and skills, and unlock new levels of productivity through human‑agent teaming.
A passionate and visible advocate for inclusive leadership, Cher Whee is widely recognized for her work in advancing leadership development, culture, and diversity. She is a strong advocate for advancing women in leadership and a sponsor of Pride+ Ally—championing environments where diverse talent can thrive and lead.
Beyond Micron, she plays an active role in shaping talent and workforce ecosystems at a national and industry level. She serves on the board of Singapore Polytechnic and as an advisor to multiple councils, including Eightfold.ai, Singapore’s Workforce Skills Qualifications, and the Singapore Semiconductor Leadership Accelerator Program. She also contributes to the Nanyang Technological University Career & Attachment Office Industry Advisory Panel. Cher Whee holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore and is an alumna of several global leadership programs, including the Harvard Business School General Management Program, Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program, Singapore Management University Executive Development Program, PwC Trust Leadership Institute Executive Leadership Program, the University of Oxford AI Programme, and the National University of Singapore Chief Strategy Officer Programme.
